SEALAND FOODS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED GUIDELINES
ORDER PLACEMENT
(a) Orders can be placed daily by 3:30pm for next scheduled delivery
(b) Chilled product orders require a 2-day lead time.
PAYMENT
(a) Invoices are due for payment within the number of days as per contract
(b) Payment can be done by cash, cheques or bank transfers [NOTE: Bank reference is required].
(c) C.O.D – Payment will be done upon delivery.
(d) If customer fails to comply with terms of payment, Sealand Foods reserves the right to withhold further deliveries.
DELIVERIES
(a) Deliveries will be made in refrigerated trucks/containers
(b) Both copies of invoices must be signed by the customer to acknowledge receipt of goods.
(c) Deliveries will be done in accordance with "Customer Requirements" outlined in this document
SHORT WEIGHT
(a) Claims of short weight will only be honored if the customer's scale is certified by Bureau of Standard.
(b) Each item of short weight must be identified on BOTH copies at time of delivery.
(c) Weights will be verified and signed by the delivery personnel and the customer representative.
(d) Credit will only be issued if all the above is adhered to.
RETURN POLICY
(a) Returns [product rejected by customer] must be reported within seven days of receipt of the product.
(b) A company representative will check and verify the nature of the returns and the quality affected.
(c) Weights will be verified and signed by the delivery personnel and the customer representative.
(d) Returns will be scheduled for collection between Mondays and Fridays
(e) Credit will only be issued if all the above is adhered to.
RETURNED CHEQUES
(a) All returned cheques must be replaced by a Manager's cheque/cash; bank charges levied will be charged to customer
(b) First returned cheque: Deliveries are put on hold until cheque is being replaced.
(c) Returned cheques will result in interruption of deliveries.
(d) Any outstanding returned cheques that are over 30 days, will be sent to a collector.
The above mentioned information is for the purpose of maintaining credit and is warranted to be true. We do hereby jointly or individually agree to pay for all products, wares and merchandise supplied to any of us of the above named business. In the event it becomes necessary to place the account with an attorney, we agree to pay all costs including reasonable attorney's fee and hereby waive our privilege of being sued in the country of our residence and agree that suit may be brought into St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. We agree to immediately notify Sealand Foods International Company Limited at the above address if any changes in ownership or form of same business. This instrument shall remain in force until actual written notice or revocation is received by Sealand Foods International Company Limited.
